Regulator Test Rig
I’ve made this test rig to find out what the pressure is on the regulated side of a Theoben regulater as this is the regulator I will be fitting in the back of a Blodnob valve, and fitting the valve in an air tube. The test rig will also help with adjusting the regulaters, I will be able to use the PSI readings as a reference point, it should also be possible to use lighter hammers and springs. Once I’ve done some chrono testing, I intend to slim the set-up down to fit inside standard Buddy bottle, because at the moment everything is over sized for safety reasons.

The story behind the sketch is, when i was making my Bullpup air rifle someone asked if i could post any sketches of how it might look when it was finished, the only sketch i had was a lookie over hedgey gun, so i put that up for a laugh, and suggested i’d be better off putting actual photos up instead of sketches. Anyone is welcome to make the gun in the sketch if they want.
Yeah Adam, We who live on the East side of the Atlantic don’t need to measure things we can just eye-ball them. [Some of them can] the rest just have to do it the old fahioned way and measure stuff.
that’s not my drawing, I stole it from baz’s p/bucket sight, when the pics he put up weren’t working I too a peak and saw it. I was hoping he could tell us the story behind it..

If you put a “t” fitting between the regulator housing and the gauge, you could add a bleed valve to the “T” to allow releasing of the regulated air to check the consistency of the regulator after each time it is actuated.
The images I posted had been re-sized to a small size and you couldn’t see enough detail so I was in the process of editing the post when you viewed it so here are the pictures made a bit bigger so you can see what is happening. Yes the regulator is going inside an air-force tank.
