12-oz CO2 shot count
First, thanks for Adam’s advice on my choice of guns. I just bought a .22 12-oz version of Talon SS from PA over the weekend. I think I am going to get the gun either the end of the week or early next week. One newbie question, how many shot counts shall I expect from a 12-oz CO2 bottle before POI drops? TIA

I would expect the same velocity, but different shot count.
Anyone know if there is velocity difference when you shoot on 20oz or 9oz tank?
Or you simply get less shots?
I get about 500 pellets through my .22 TSS with a 12oz CO2 tank before the velocity starts to drop. There are also some uncounted dryfirings in addition to that number.
If you shoot over a chrono and find the point of diminishing retuns on the PW adjustment, you can probubly get more shots per tank as well.

Size of tank has nothing to do with velocity. I have a 20oz, and find it to be heavy and too big around, I’m gettin’ a 12oz. Read up on pyramydair about CO2, there is a nice tom gaylord article there.
