Q:

got a question

Hi guys, I am new here, this looks like the place for anything and everything Talon or Condor. I haven’t really given them much thought but after snooping around here I think I have changed my mind.

I don’t know all of the proper nomenclature for these rifles yet so bear with me and be gentle with me 😯 ….I am new here. 🙄

One question I have is this: Why hasn’t someone moved the “cocking knob” on the breech to either the left or right side by machining a slot for it there? Seems to me would be easier to manipulate without it being under the scope rail. Anydangway, I will only start with one question but am sure will have more come up the more I snoop around. 🙂

Also ask yourself this question. Do you like things that just work right out of the box plain and simple or do you like to tinker? If you don’t want to mess with it and want it to work and be optimized out of the box, buy from Tony he will set it up for you and you LEAVE IT ALONE. On the other hand if you like to tinker and fiddle and test test test buy stock. You are at a huge advantage in that you found this site before you bought. I wish i had of.

Thanks again guys, this forum rocks :8 :8 :8

The side cocking knob has been done by a few here. In fact the new AF rifle “The Edge” uses a side cocking set up.

Personally I like the cocking knob on top and find it very easy to use. In our Mod section Yellow Ninja showed a side cocking slot he milled into his frame.

No troubles!

i would rec’d the condor and then if you want to turn it down it is quite easy to do.
Go for the format that you ‘like’ as to looks.
You can then get whichever tank required to get the power level you want 🙂

You will find lots of fellas here to help you make that decision for sure 🙂
Walter…

DAYYYUUMMMM!!!!!! 😯

You guys are fast with the replies. I was just curious, don’t have either rifle yet to know exactly how they operate…but I hope to get a stock rifle soon, just not sure which one to get…Condor or Talon….Talon or Condor??? Decisions decisions. 😕

Thanks for the reply, look forward to talkin’ with y’all.

Welcome.

After using the gun you may find as I do that the knob lends itself to easy function just the way it is. It is easy to push it forward with the thumb in a very natural position. One benefit is that the design is truly ambidexturous as you can park the knob left or right as you prefer.

BTW mine is a homebuilt and could have been made any which way. I chose the slot down the middle just like Airforce.
Walter….

someone has.
you dont snoop very good 😀
i dont think anyone has the balls to put there lovely AF rifle under the
mill…….

cheers
