Condor .25 Noise Level
How noisey is the Condor in either the .25 or a .22 caliber with a shroud? Having never been around even a stock Condor I am just trying to get a feel for what to expect if I decide to get one. Like the power but worried a little about the noise level.

The Tony shroud is top notch. There is a reason why he charges what he does for them. I paid full price for mine and would gladly do so in a heartbeat. I dont live in an area where quiet is ‘needed’… but it sure is cool to know that at 100fpe, my Condor is more quiet than my 7fpe R7…………….

erc34 welcome. You didn’t give a idea of what your used to, but a stock condor with no shroud cranked up to full power is almost as loud as a .22 rimfire, almost. I’ve never heard a Tony shroud but have read they are the bees knees or cats pajamas of shrouds. HTH

I have a .25 Custom Tony Condor w/12 inch barrel and I dare you to tame this beast. I won’t turn this gun over to Tony and end up with a 15 inch shroud but I do have someone working on it. The date has been made and only time to tell. I have internal baffling in the body and it does a fair job of keeping the POW down but not good enough to shoot beside your best buddy for very long without him telling you gun is to loud. Some have said it can’t be done and some have tried but to no avail and like I said time will tell and soon hopefully we may just have a mouse fart quiet Condor in .25..12 inch style…
If you want a quiet .25 Condor give in a call Tony..Not me yet…

I have a 24″ .25 cal. Did you ever pop a paper lunch bag in your school cafeteria. If so that would be about the sound level without. With place your hand on a table and tap your finger as hard as you can. about that loud.

My .22 Condor is very quiet with the 12.5″ Airhog shroud. At the highest power (75+fpe) it’s as loud as a 2240 pistol which is not saying much. At 60fpe and below ( or usually 1,000fps and below) it is a lot more quiet than any springer, co2, or airgun I have ever shot. The impact of the pellet is louder. I cannot hear the impact most of the time with my Springers because the report is louder. Pretty much all you hear is the hammer when I shoot the Condor. You sit there wondering if your gun is shooting right with the proper power.. The first few weeks I ‘d run to the chrony because I felt the gun sounded “weak” and too quiet, but the chrony always proved my fears unfounded.
A good baffled shroud is worth the $ and I don’t think anyone that owns one has ever had any regrets.
