need help with my condors fps
you know how they advertise the condor capable of sending a cp at 1250 fps second. well my condor cant do that it only sends then out at 1150 tops. power wheel is at 12 and 2700 psi fill. i tried it from 3000 psi but its sends then out slower until i get to 2700 psi i get the top speed for the cp. i want to be able to send cp at 1250 fps bc that means i can send 28 gr pellets at around 1050. eugin usually go around 200 fps slower than cp.

CP’s don’t give a “good” velocity reading because they fit kind of loose and I don’t think take advantage of all that air blown into the skirt. You cannot judge the power of your condor with light 14.x pellets like the CP’s. Your Condor needs heavy pellets to make the most use of its power.
Try the 21gr Kodiaks (or Eun Jins) and you ‘ll be surprised. I shot a few CP’s through my Condor and they were around 1210fps (I have a heavier hammer & different spring) at PW setting 6 I think it was. I knew 46fpe was too low for this gun.. Then I realized I was not shooting 15.8gr JSB’s like I meant to, but in all the excitement of my 1st Condor I had accidentally grabbed the CP box instead. So to make a long story short I realized even JSB’s are probably too light for this gun so I shot a few Kodiaks through the chrony and skipped the JSB’s. The Kodiaks fit much better (tighter) in the breech and I was pleasantly surprised when it came very close to mid-1100’s (60+fpe)! I then loaded up some 32gr Eleys and got 1030fps (75fpe)!
So forget the CP’s. They are for Talon SS and less powerful guns. Get yourself some Kodiaks and Eun Jins and you will get the advertised power (~60fpe stock?) and more. The heavier the pellets the more kinetic energy they produce, and that’s what you want. You also want to keep the velocities (or start at) around 1,050 max.. ie: keep fps low with heavier pellets. The slower the pellets travel the more accurate they are, and Kodiaks are very accurate & consistent in most Condors. In mine they are most accurate at 1,000fps on down.
