Q:

The .25 Condor Beast is getting a face lift

We now have two polished aluminum shrouds and the custom breach knob so I am thinking it is time to order some new feathers for this bird,.

I think I am going to start with a custom polished fluted breach made out of T-6061 aluminum barstock.. I think it will look darn sharp. Items are on the shelf and all I need is the money to purchase itโ€ฆ

I think then I have to go with a new trigger and I have a few to choose from.. Decisions decisionsโ€ฆ again on the shelf and ready to ship.

Now all I have to do is get the mod man Don G, to set me up with one of his custom grips and fore stocks that I have been hearing about and only have this one photo

I have no idea Mario! But he did it and it’s a piece of art I think. The more I look at it and hold it, the more I like it ๐Ÿ˜†

Dad, thanks. Yes we are getting it straightened out. I just shipped the tank out to Lee. Even though he ‘s now disabled and doesn’t do this type of work any more he volunteered to take a look at it and fix it. He ‘s a great guy!
Also Dad Wilson, I agree with you. I would not dish out the $ for a NEW Lemak gun+stock like the one I got, which is why I bought it used and saved a lot of $$. Nothing against Lee or anyone making these beautiful stocks, but I ‘m not a rich person, and if I were going to spend $1,500+ on an airgun, I ‘d get a European mult-shot fully shrouded from-the-factory gun (a 50fpe one) which also hold their resale value better than Condors.
I felt the negotiated price for this gun was right for me and I did not only get a fancy custom stock on a Condor, but also a well tuned .25 cal weapon shooting mid-high 900’s with 42gr pellets according to its maker. The original & first owner which I bought it from, paid a LOT more for it (about $600 more) than I did. This gun also has a custom breach slide to match the wider custom tophat, but too bad it’s not a shiny one like the one you ‘re getting ๐Ÿ™‚
I wasn’t implying that your new better looking breach is not needed, was just wondering if it improved loading or the sliding action, or if it comes with a heavier durometer o-ring and stuff like that. The one on the Leemak gun seems to slide and cock much easier and smoother than the stock one on my .22 Condor. Maybe there is some debur & polishing that took place..(?). Don’t know half the stuff that was done to this gun. Getting it out of Lee little by little… Previous owner told me just “heavier hammer” but this gun has a lot more work done on it. Besides the valve work, even the barrel end was worked to match the custom tophat and breach and the barrel bushings don’t look like AF stock either..

Nice parts there “dad” ๐Ÿ™‚ Just curious what will that shiny breach slide buy you?

I must agree with Blue Jay.. If one is going to make stocks they should be unique. That is why I really like my Lemak .25 Condor. It’s one of a kind.

never seen one like that before. How the hell did he do the tank?

Not what i would go for but it sure is different.

All in good fun Scott and you have a way a keeping a thread alive for sure. The Condor will look great when Don gets the breach and trigger to me as agreed within the next couple of weeks. Canโ€™t wait to post up the pics as I know you will help keep the thread alive and the awesome Condor will be flying on the board again. Joking aside, you are a lot of fun and add a little spice to the forum for sure..

If this is the same gun you are referring to I sincerely hope you did get the issue ironed out. That is a beautiful gun and itโ€™s too bad if it isnโ€™t shooting up to par..

I appreciate all of the feedback and attention that this post mustered up. That was the main reason I made the post to begin with.. 8) ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t know about that, you still have to ask him if it’s ok to be his twin, and then convince sharp to make a set for you.
as for the breach and what not, your right, your gun, do as you please, but you did ask for my opinion so I gave it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dad, it is your money so spend it on what you want from who you want. Personally, I wouldn’t spend any money on cosmetics for a Condor, but that is just me.

The shiny breach will give me nothing more that the, โ€œI like the looks of itโ€ factor. I donโ€™t agree with the blue jay simply because I will put a gun together in any way that I want. I am not looking for a Lemak stock as I would not put that kind of money into a Condor for sure. I have a whole lot of money invested in an Air Arms EV-2 MKII and if I was going to drop a bundle on a hunk of wood that would be the gun I might consider doing so too. This is almost sounding like you fellows donโ€™t want me to purchase anything from my supplier.

what was I suppose to comment on?
those are all pick of sharps stuff he makes and you haven’t bought anything but the shrouds. if you would like me to comment on the thing you might get and install on the little .25 then I will say this – you already have a custom breach that was made to work with that set up, why would you want something else? the only advantage would be some shiny medal on a hunting rid which is something I would never do. trigger shoe, cool just paint it black, and the wood sharp made is definitely beautiful and unique, If I was the one that made them I wouldn’t make a matching set for any one just as you haven’t seen me offer up any redwood fore arms, that is what my gun looks like no one else’s, but perhaps sharp dosn’t mind another gun looking like his twin.
