Q:

paper meter

My “paper meter” in my guage got damp or somthing. How do I get into it to flatten it out? I can’t get behind the clear cover. Until then, I don’t know how much psi I’m getting in my gun tank! I have not been able to get behind the clear cover in a “nice” fashion.

Hah, I needed a couple for a project and got a great price on a bulk lot of them. I either need to do something with them or put them up on Ebay ).

What size thread and what psi range are you looking for? I recently purchased 50 (yeah, 50) 3000 psi gauges with glow in the dark faces.

😆 Why?

Replace it with this one

Replace it. They are but $10 for a new guage.
Check with Mat Bean posted this morning regarding his new online store.

Walter….

Hiya M8,

Most gauges are very delicate as far as the mechanical linkage between the dial arm and the bourdon tube. It is very easy to mess up the calibration on it. I would recommend from a safety standpoint to purchase a glycerin filled gauge and put that one in the file 13 ( garbage).

If you do mangae to get into it, I would check it against a known working gauge to make sure it is still in calibration before I would trust it again.

Safety first M8.

Peace,
