Anyone have this setup ?
I’ve got a 12″ barreled SS shooting .22 Kodiaks @ avg of 800 fps. This gun has a heavier hammer and ported valve. Now if a fella dropped a 12″ .177 barrel into there, anyone have any experience with a similar setup that can tell me what I could expect in fps out of that barrel with whatever the heaviest 177 Kodiak they make ?

If you put a 12″ .177 barrel in that gun, let me know the results. Interested to see how accurate my guess is. 😉
Dono for sure but it would in my getting on the fast side Most of the time when I get up in the transonic range I lose some accuracy. With Kodiak I’m hitting ~870 which is still in the sweet spot. With lighter pellet ~950 and really don’t want to go any faster.
I can turn it down some but with your heavier hammer that will be difficult without TH adjustment perhaps. I’ve found a PW setting where I can poop lighter pellets but it takes a lot of fiddling.
If I recall you should expect around 1000 as earlier mentioned by maw
I guess around 1000, I’m sure someone will be by with more precise info.
I’ll take a wild guess and say that it may shoot .177 Kodiaks at 1030-1080. My experience equating energies anyway…

Triggerman, I have a stock ss in .177 12” crosman 10.5gr. @ 850f.ps.
by my crony. I did tune my tophat to a post on the old TOG website .
the Power wheel does not work now but I dont mind. And I get alot of shots 50-70 maybe I have not counted . Full power all the time.
