BENT SCOPE!!
😯 OHH My F’ing GOD! Holly SH!T!
I just noticed the back 1/3 rd or so (from the rear mount back) of my scope is BENT! 🙁
Took a hard hit on the concrete falling from the tail hatch of the jeep!
I notice a little alen wrench deal on it; and can see the edge is unparralel. Don’t want to force it or “tweak” on it (will a wrench work by losening then (moving?) retightening?). Will this really affect accuracy though it is centered left & right, but it is knocked end tip down about an 1/8″?
Frantic ❗ Freaking ❗ This just “can’t” be happening! ❗ ❗ 😥
It’s a Leoper, with like a x9 zoom, 7 mil dot and several tone color lit retical.

It is sporting a new scope now, and the front grip and bipod have been re attached 🙂
The nicest thing about my scope is that it was inexpensive at only $75 Next time I see him at the club I will hand him the old scope along with the receipt for the new one. He already told me he will cover the cost to repair the rifle and scope, luckily it was only $75.

➡ Hey Roger, Thanks for the feedback, Not only 8) to see serious coments on a subject but that IS almost exactly the SAME as MINE. A good eye can see the bend in it from the side (about 1/8″ +) and, I am relaxed to hear that IT IS still a TOLORABLE SCOPE. Useable.

I let one of my friends at the duck club transport my talon SS down to the fishing hole. The gun was locked into the gun holder on the quad, unfortunately he got stupid (should of saw it coming we all were drinking) next thing I knew he tried to fishtail the quad in the mud, and he rolled the quad. The bipod and front grip were ripped out of the frame, and the scope was bent.
the back of the scope was bent so bad you could not change the zoom. My other friend grabbed the scope and bent the back up a little, then I could zoom it in and out.
The next day it took about 10 shots to bring it back to zero, and after that it was shooting ok, I was still hitting small stuff like empty shotgun shells at 50 yards.
If it is the back of the scope that is bent I think you may be ok.

That sucks 🙁 You could just use it for spotting things when out camping. I gave a trashed scope to a kid and he use’s it like a pirate at sea…LOL man he really loves that old scope.
I just went out to an ally that is previously marked for rande finding. I have an 11″ line on a building that I use my mil dots to distance find. I took numbers with me from last weeks notes, and they are the same 🙄
Can’t shoot right now (in town), but for a poor guy I’m feeling things will work the same. OH, “the bad side” is that the sight window, now ALWAYS has a “small” (1/16″) fuz that never clears crisp on the outer edge. Since a target is not away from center, I’ll live; and think rodents will still die.
It would be useless IMO. Different strokes for different folks though.

That’s a damn good thing about inperson purchases; You can take item & with receipt, somthN good will come out of it. I bought mine off the web, so dealings don’t seem to be as forgiving.
Like you said before about at the range resetting your MIL. numbers, I think I can do that. Seems good that my MIL. range finding is still on with only a [u]slight fuzz all around (SO ITS ONLY LIKE A HAIR SMALLER EYE PIECE) at only a 1/16″.
The immediate issue is I’m recently looking (thinking on) at NV mono.’s to attach, and am hoping any weight doesn’t hurt it more.
The money for a new scope is (was) to be for NV! :3
