New B help
Ive been useing springers for a while but I am new to PCP airguns , the Condor/Talon looks like the way to go, I havent bought one yet. But Im pretty convinced thats the way Im going to go.
I live in the city and a shroud is an absolute must for me, but Im not sure where to get one, or if I have to buy it with the rifle itself, or if I can slip it on myself .
and if it will fit different length barrels of the same caliber or if each barrel would need a different shroud.
I was going to pick up a very basic model from PA and add to it , but was very unsure where to obtain a decent shroud and if I could just slip it on or not.

I can highly reccommend a shroud from Talon Tunes. I had a complete tune, shroud and other custom work done by Talon Tunes and it is fantastic. I ordered the Talon right from him and he did all the work before I ever saw the rifle. The wait is long but very much worth it. I have had the rifle for a couple weeks and have done plenty of shooting right in my back yard. It is very quiet. I have close neighbors on each side of me and I am sure they don’t hear anything. Just today I went to my parents home out in the counry side and I took off the shroud for the first time to hear the difference. Without the shroud the Talon’s noise level is close to a .22 rimfire. I was shocked to hear how loud it was after having been shooting it with the shroud on in my back yard.

Yes, whats sold on line here would be made for your barrel length, and you would have to make a decision on what model of gun you are going to get, before you order your shroud, I would order a shroud as soon as you make a decision then you won’t have to what quite as long to shoot it . You can put it on yourself, simple as 1,2,3. If you need help anyone will tell you how, and welcome to the forum.

Hold over, I think what you are talking about buying from pyramid is a muzzlebrake, which is not a shroud. Apples and oranges really. It will do little to nothing to quite a Talon and even less to quite a Condor.
If you shoot springers now, even an SS packs plenty of wallop. I really like my Condor with spare it’s 12″ barrel and SS endcap. 3 minute barrel change out and 5 minute re-sight and you have two guns for a mere $150.00 bucks or so more.
Both of the previous posters know their $h!t about these guns and already gave you the two most popular manuf. of shrouds for AF guns.
Good luck and enjoy but be careful, these things will make your springers (even a really, really good one) almost laughable in power and real world accuracy in comparison. Keep us updated on your progress and though I a new here as well, welcome!

We have a section here that can give you some ideas how to make a shroud yourself if you have the ability and desire.
I have a shroud from Talon Tunes. He is Anthony266 here on this forum and he actually is our host for this forum. His shrouds are very sleek and give maximum performance at minimal weight. And slip on easiliy.They are not cheap and run about $250 shipped but for me silence is worth it.
Their are a few others here on the forum who also make and sell shrouds for the Condor. I don’t have experience from any of them so I will let them tell you about them.
You could buy a condor from airhog.com with a shroud already installed.

Like they said,,,, I recently ordered and received a shroud from Tony for my new Condor and it a piece of cake to install. Slipped right in where the end cap had been, tightened a screw and that was that 🙂
