Co2 welding tank
If you can find an adapter , Is there anything wrong with useing co2 out of a welding tank?
The reason I ask is that there is a welding supply CO. nearby by and they can fill it with any type gas you want , and you just exchange your old tank for a new one .
I have a small 2 ft tank myself I used for airbrushing and was wondering If I can use it in leiu of a scuba tank

While it’s true that usually such tanks are lower pressure, it’s not always the case. The one I used to use to make beer with was in fact an oxygen bottle with a CO2 valve. ‘A real waste’ as they gas plant guy used to say every time I got it filled.
If the intent is to use the same tank for other blanketing gasses (like Ar), this is most likely the case.
Find out who does hydro testing in your area and take it in to them. They can check the pressure rating (stamped into the neck of the tank), inspect it and change the valve.

Even a big “welding tank” which is filled w/ c02 is normally rated at the same 1800-2000psi fill pressure that the small portable co2 bottles are. Definitely a no-no for HPA.
I got 2 used 20lb co2 cylinders from a convenience store going out of business, for 20 bucks. A fill/exchange at the local welding supply was 8-10 dollars last time I exchanged them.

As a matter of fact its dangerous to try to use a CO2 tank with high preasure air (HPA).

If you mean using it to refill your own CO2 tank for the gun, that’ll work good, just a basic paintball fill station/valve and a scale and you’re set.
If you mean using that tank for high pressure air or nitrogen, no, won’t work as CO2 tanks are low pressure and would not be useful if filled with air.

if you plan on using the welding co2 tank to fill your co2 tanks for the gun, you are good to go.
If you are thinking of using the co2 welding tank for HPA you must get it checked to see what its rated pressure is, likely it is a “low pressure” cylinder and not suitable for use with HPA.
