Q:

.22 Condor and Sam Yangs

Can anyone suggest a top hat, and power wheel settings for a stock .22 Condor and shooting Sam Yangs. Its -37 here so doing string after string to find the best setting is out of the question. Thanks Ron

Where are you located? In Alaska?
You should be able to get very close to 0.5″ groups with the Eun Jins at 50yds.

Freezing and wearing that many cloths, and gloves and only my second time shooting the gun I was more then impressed. For sure the more I shoot the tighter the groups well get 🙂 and I’m located northern Alberta, not Alaska 🙂 if I could find the right set screws I think I would like to fiz the trigger next.

I have both but haven’t tried the Eun Jins yet. So far off a Bi Pod my Sam Yangs are grouping 1″ at 50Yrds in the -30 to -35 weather which is probably a lot of me shaking due to the cold but I was very impressed with the accuracy so if Eun Jins group better I can hardly wait. This gun is impressing me every time I shoot it 🙂 I just wish the weather was nice and I could foul around and get this thing shooting perfect.

PW affects both, but I ‘d have to say velocity more but in some guns that have been tuned it may affect consistency more. It depends..

You should really consider shooting the 28.4 Eun Jin’s too.
Most Condors love this pellet and are very accurate with it, more so than with the 32gr Sam Yangs. The 28.4 domed Eun Jins will take out any of the “large” small game animals with a well placed shot. The Sam Yangs are pointed and are not as accurate in my .22 Condor but they ‘re not bad either, just not the best one.

Does the power wheel effect velocity more or consistency?

Mines at .078, man, you really have to test your gun.

Well unfortunately, no 2 guns are the same. You will have to wait until you can shoot and test your gun.

However .070 is a good tophat setting to start at, I ended up at .067 when shooting the 22 caliber barrel. PW ended up around 10
