1st attempt ever with CAD/e-machineshop
I’ve wanted a bullpup AG for what seems like forever, so while I’m stuck waiting for the EdGun to make its way into the States – I thought I might as well try my hand at building one from a BAM50.
Just picked this one up off the Yellow classifieds:

The plus for me is that the gun came already nicely tuned, with Big Ed parts like the full length shroud and depinger. A perfect mule for a bullpup project if ever there was one…
While the shroud does a pretty good job of keeping the noise levels down, it also presents challenges in making the scope/trigger intermounts. These mounts serve a couple of functions, first they allow for the trigger to be relocated. Second, they provide a base for the forward re-positioning of the scope.
You pretty much get the idea what the intermounts do from this photo:

I’ve collected many pics of some truly excellent designs:
(I think these are made for the HooliGun bullpup)

(these were made for a Bam build)

But all of these have one thing in common, they are designed for guns that do not have a full length barrel shroud. Then I saw the write up of the Air Arms bullpup on the Yellow forum a few months ago

It had a full length shroud and some pretty, well-crafted looking mounts. Whoever built this gun, really know what they were doing…

I’ve been wanting to learn how to use basic CAD software in order to dsesign my own parts for this build, the following photos represent what I have been able to do so far with 1 day’s practice with e-machineshop.com

I modeled these intemounts after some Accushot and B-Square rings I had lying around. They are very nearly the same dimensions as garden-variety scope rings.

These mounts are designed to accept a standard Weaver rail up on the top, and then clamp securely around the air pressure tube and barrel shroud below. If I’ve measured everyhting properly, I should also have enough room to add the trigger and the linkage underneath.

Does anyone have any hands-on experience using e-machineshop.com? Any words of advice, encouragement, constructive criticism before I send the job off to them? I was going to use 6061 t-6 aluminum for the material. Thanks in advance…
