Quick Question: Decock an AF gun – Am I doing it right?
Just want to make sure that I am doing it right –
-Open the breech slide
-Safety OFF
-Hold the knob on the breech slide
-Pull the trigger and SLOWLY release and close the slide
Anything else should I be careful with?

Actually what I found is to better put my left thumb behind the knob but not to grab the knob itself, then pull the trigger and let the knob slide into your thumb as this ensures trigger/hammer release.
Look in the slot ahead of the breech block (top of the gun, below the scope rail part). If you can see the hammer in there, it’s decocked. If not, you didn’t do it right.
If you’re feeling spring pressure, check the power wheel. At zero, it should be at the minimum.
I did notice a few times that after “decocking” the gun, the hammer spring seemed to be still engaged but the trigger was not. Did anyone experience this before?

I was thinking about getting a strap on harness… 😆

Nope, sounds about right.( I hook my thumb right round it to make sure it dosn’t slip…..)
