Q:

AF Quality Control SUCKS!!!

After just about 250 shots out of my Condor, the rifle completely lost power!! 😯 😡 👿

Pellets were barely leaving the muzzle of the gun. So I asked my brother if I could borrow his Talon tank, and the rifle did OK with it.

So I disassembled the valve and this is what I found:

The spring retainer/guide had one of the threads almost broken off 😡 😡

Had to make a new one, now my Condor is back to it’s powerfull self again 😀 😀

Off course I can’t be sure where AF gets its parts, but some of the are just shitty like some Chineese stuff. I just wished they paid more attention to what they do. This is a good platform to do MODS but if they keep doing this to their customers, pretty soon they won’t have a lot of them IMHO ❗ ❗

I think $500 amount doesn’t have much to do with quality. Look at Korean guns – built tougher than AF. The fact that it is made in the USA…oh well, we too make a shit load of crap just like the Chinese.

Maybe you should shoot them an email with photos attached and then call their toll-free number. Usually it is this gal Rachel Gonzales who answers the phone and she is very friendly to deal with. Let them know you are not happy.

You’re right. I was probably expecting too much out of a $500+ gun.

But anyway, IT SUCKS ❗ 😡 😡

On the one hand I totally agree. Q.C. needs to be improved upon badly. Playing the devils advocate, what can you expect for $500.00 when other guns with like performance can cost three to four times as much?

The same problem happened to two of my valve spring retainers. AF needs to use a material other than brass. Brass is not very tough.

looks like someone got a little too excited with the lathe! Glad you got it fixed.

Good thing you were able to fix it quickly.
