Q:

Another Condor SS chrony string I fired :)

Well pretty cold outside but fired some indoor strings to test out the new Chrony lights (no errors just wonderful) and how my Condor works with a short 12″ .22 LW barrel and I am pretty surprised with how she performs.

But the big test will be at the range shortly. 8)

While not exactly like pushing 28 grainers up 1200 fps still not bad numbers for a short barrel as I know the Condor valve wastes air horribly with a short barrel but I swap out to my .25 barrel for longrange shootting anyways and just use the same tank/valve.

Camo is to cover up my messy bench. 🙂

Funny 11.9g RWS wads could be pushed to 1061fps out of a 12″ barrel!!!!! The tape was over the sensors so the camera flash wouldn’t generate an error. 🙂

Setup:
1. New Condor AF valve
2. 90 gram Tony custom brass hammer
3. Powerwheel on 8
4. 2500 psi fill
5. Tuned tophat
6. 12″ AF .22 barrel
7. 20 shot strings

Sorry if I’m confusing, but I have a Condor.

What’s your top hat set at?

To me looking at your strings has me seriously considering turning my tophat down, and detuning my gun, to get a lighter pellet, to shoot around 910fps. and gaining in more shots and consistancy.

I’d be curious now if you set your powerwheel down, using ej’s, to 735 to start with, what the string would look like, the info is definately important for those of us with that set up too, to set up to. Thanks for the research, it all helps one way or another.
