Bloody hell I would not know what one to take out…
Your going to love playing around with the stealth there are so many options its daft.
I have mine set up with a 65g hammer and stronger main spring with the tophat keeping the power down.
I find the sharp strike from the stronger spring gives better consistancy.
thats what i thought id do try it for a bit see how i get on with it if i like it stick with it but i do have an FX verminator in .22 i have a daystate MK3 in .177 and a EV2 also.177 so its not like ive only got the one rifle to play around with so i might just have the one.20 and keep modding it till im a happy chappy lol
i am using my stealth for the sole purpose of pest control and would like to wind it up to fac power in the future so i went .22 as a .177 pellet is too light for fac power (in my opinion)
i liked the idea of .25 but then you need to be shooting at fac levels for accuracy. most people in the uk will say .177 all the way but i disagree.
.177 for compertitive ft
.20 for ft and pest
.22 towards pest away from compertitive ft
.25 pest and bigger stuff closer up.
this is what i think and i feel happy shooting like this so it works for me but others might feel quite a bit different.
the nice thing about the stealth is that you can change the bits that dont work for you so try out the .20 and if after a while you dont like it change it…
just keep in mind that if you are going to fac power later a heavy pellet is needed for accuracy at a distance.
Hi Brutus thanks for your reply i will be using it for a spot of pest control and a little target work ive just done a deal on one with 18inch 177 barrel but im thinking of going over to .20 as ive heard its a good all rounder although ill keep the .177 if i cant source a good pellet dont know what your thoughts are on this calibre? regards mick
Hello again.
i have posted what i have in a different area of this site, follow this like to see or you could ask Drum yourself i have no objections with him talking about the work he carried out for me.

as for quillity check out this post for accuracy testing…

i brought the new modle before finding out that there is an antitamper screw in the frame so swapper the action at a local shop for an older non anti tamper version.
i do not have a clue what MK it is but it works. the safety is a bit sticky even with the standard spring. releasing the safety can fire my rifle so i have removed the safety. when shooting i cock the rifle load the pellet and then de cock the rifle. i recon that has to be safer the a safety but i treat it as loaded when doing this.
what are you buying for ie hunting or ft?
hi yes i was thinking that my self ive spoken with him via email and im of the opinion he most certainly does know his stuff and im gona get me some bits done for sure
That obviously one guy who really does not know anything about these guns. Leupy’s stuff is top notch.
not too far at all lol well im glad to hear leupys mods work ive just had one guy say dont waste your money have luepy mods done as there a total waste of money but ive spoke to Drum and from what i gather he knows his stuff when it comes to mods and so many people have sung his praises is your stealth a newer version or the older MK1 you didnt say? and what mods did you go for regards mick
All my mods are from leupy and I am impressed with them.
I am in horsham, west sussex so not too far from the south western part of kent.
Happy shopping.
Hi Brutus ive been on the bbs forum and i am currently speaking to a guy in wales who has three for sale all of them are or i think they are of the newer models one has the leupy custom shop mods im based in the uk in the county of kent where abouts are you? once again thanks for your quick reply regards mick
If you have the tools you can remove the barrel from the new modle as there is only one antitamper screw holding the baller inplace. It is the one hidden under the forearm grip.
A new stealth will cost you £330. But you still need the fill adaptor to fill the bottle costing and extra £35.
If I were you I would look for a second hand modle despite the age with many of the mods that you want already done. If the hammer is not standard them the barrel comes out…
Not to mention you will save a fortune and have what you want.
You will need a 0.050 imperial key to adjust the tophat. Changing the barrel, hammer and spring will increase the out put of the rifle so you will need to wind down the power to stay on the right side of the law.
The 12 inch standard barrel is accurate enough but a 24inch barrel will of corse be more accurate for longer distance shots.
The standard valve will leak air so an ‘O’ ring mod is worth the wait unless you get a third party valve.
I have many mods on my stealth but the 24inch barrel gives a great sniper look even if its only rabbits I shoot.
If I were to buy again I would only make one change and that is the frame. There is limited space on the stealth if fitting a bipod. The shadow is a longer frame giving longer accessary rails.
Most people refere to the gunpower rifles in the uk as the stealth so check what your buying when going second hand.
Google BBS forum for a airrifle forum in the uk. I often see stealths on the second hand section.
Good luck with your purchase and keep us up to date.
Ps where are you based?
Hi Brutus thanks for your response to my question ive had mixed info regards the new models and how these rifles have had a whole host of different bits and bods done, so many variations of triggers ,safety catches, frame thicknesses, valve types hammer types, barrel that can and cant be removed so on and so fourth its mind boggling to say the least i have been advised that should i wish to buy a stealth id be better looking for a MK1 as these were by far the best and easiest to mod as you mentioned the newer models have anti tamper barrels not good if i want to change calibre which i would like the option of doing but so many have said dont by any of the models they are all crap some say buy the MK1 others say buy the MK2-MK3 it gets confusing on which advise is the best to take kind regards Mick
Hello fella. The stealth, as far as I can tell, has not changed too much in respect of tuning.
More recent modles have anit tamper bits fitted to prevent the removal of the barrel and the valve has changed a bit.
Nothing major has changed from what I can see. If you are a fac holder it will be easier to tune the older ones quicker with less tools but that’s about it. Also if you are an fac holder look into the new valve system for the condor.

lol its nice to have a choice and i do take the daystate and fx out a fair bit both are extremely quiet and both very capable rifles but i remember how much fun my old mk1 stealth was when they came out way back in the day lol hence ive been hankering after another one so im gona look forward to tinkering with it when it turns up lol i think the first thing will be a barrel as thats the dearest part then hammer and spring next much the same as yourself and then just sit and tinker till its sorted
