Heres my situation my yard is infested.my neighbor to the left actually traps squirels in the woods about a mile away and releases them in our neighborhood. the neighbor across the street actually feeds the skunks summer time at night the smell is terrible. we have raccoons and possums to quote top gun avery target rich environment .i have a sheridan blue streak i am an avid shooter but not an airgunner i came across this forum after looking on airforces website and love the versatility of these weapons and you guys sure make it seem fun. my question is how is the talonss report compared to the sheridan as my neighbors would frown upon me shooting there woodland friends.

I made my scope riser and then put a set screw in the back end of it to give the scope some cant and you called it a bandaid.. i’m guessing you want to see some of the parts we make so you can call them little stupid names also..

A cage trap may be what you want..Not trying to steer you away from buying a rifle but…like the others said..piss off the fruitcake bunny huggers and you will have to move…dont worry about voltar he gets his rocks off trying to piss off people 😉
If you are shooting within the confines of your property and fence, I’m assuming your yardages will be fairly close.
As an example, my TSS at 750fps and JSB Jumbos will pass through TRs @ 50 yards.
I am betting you don’t want to ruin your fence.:)
You can dial a TSS in .22 to shoot at low velocites and get the job done easily.
This is also good because the lower velocity will be much quieter. Couple this your own internal baffling, and I will bet you’ll be happy with the result.
If not, then get a big shroud and you’re set!

If you want a quiet gun for taking out squirrels, get in touch with Tony and he can build exactly what you need. Another option might be to get a Monsoon which while expensive is very quiet and dead accurate. I was talking to Tony last summer while he was shooting some Surefire slugs to test them in his personal gun. I was amazed by how quiet his gun was and it is still a pretty powerful gun. You don’t need much power to kill a squirrel or even some of the larger pests. I would suggest a nice tuned and shrouded Talon as the solution to your issue…

You can quieten these guns down to the point that firing it is not a problem, the impact of the pellet will make a heck of a “whack” though. There’s a number of home-built goodies you can do, all the way up to one of Tony’s shrouds. I’ve done the homemade route and also have one of Tony’s 8″ shrouds and it by far, out performs any of them.
Like the others have mentioned, pissed off neighbors make living hell, but it is doable to stay under the radar with noise.

I have both a TalonSS and a “Blue Streak”.
The stock SS is slightly less noisy than the “Blue Streak”.
With baffels, it is much quieter, and sutable for descrete shooting.
Do the neighbors have a view of your yard?
Your biggest problem may not be the noise, but all the dead or dying
anamals laying around.
If you shoot an anamal, and it runs over to the neighbors and dies, your neighbors may catch on to your shooting.
Who would trap squirels and relocate them to the neighborhood?
That seems dumb.
If you want squirels, just throw out some peanuts everyday and you will have more than you want.
My wife is one of those anamal lovers.
She feeds the squirels everyday.
This spring, I removed 55 of them from the neighborhood, after one of them got into the engine compartment of her new car and chewed up the wireing and vaccum hoses.
Now they have totaly repopulated, and its time to do it again.
She wont stop feeding them, so I am stuck doing “population control”.

It’s to loud without a baffle. get the largest baffle, if you want to quite it down.
Nothing worse then a pissed off neighbor finding out you are killing their little woodland friends.
You need a big ass shroud and never let them see you with your airgun.
Pissed off animal lovers with break your windows, flatten your tires and torment you until you do move.
I personally give skunks a free pass. I kinda like the little guys. Opossums I do kill as well as crows.

If you buy from one of the builders here they will come fully baffled.
thanks.from reading on here the shrouds that talon tunes builds is just that a shroud the baffles you make yourselves is this correct.
