Q:

Pyramydair Returns

I just got off the phone with the “returns dept” of Pyramydair and thought I’d pass on the information the rep. gave me…..

I ordered a .22 Condor prior to Christmas from Pyramydair and when it was delivered I quickly noticed that the bluing on the frame was not black but actually a light purple. I made a post about it here and a couple guys said that their Condors were that color, but I decided to return it to Pyramydiar for a refund on my credit card.

The nice woman took my return info, supplied me with the pre-printed FEDEX return label and I sent the gun back.

Yesterday I got an email from Pyramydair telling me they were refunding my credit card $561.08 ,,, only problem was I payed $577.00

I called the returns dept. a few minutes ago and the gentleman I spoke to informed me that they had determined that the gun was not defective so I was being charged $15.92 for the return shipping.

When I informed him the bluing on the condor was defective he informed me, quite rudely I might add, that the bluing on the new Air Force rifles is a light purple, therefore the gun was not defective so I was responsible for the shipping.

I informed him the pictures of the Air Force rifles on the Pyramydair site show black rifles and nowhere is there any mention of the “new” color of the bluing. I also told him I’d be happy to call Air Force and discuss it with them.

Long story short,,,,, he got a little nasty, insisted that the rifle is supposed to be purple but he told me he’d refund the shipping on my credit card because he didn’t have time to argue the point,,,,then he hung up.

I’m not knocking Pyramydair,,,,,, I”ve done alot of business with them and will continue to do so in the future. I just wanted to let you know that according to the rep. who spoke to me this morning Pyramydair apparently has taken the position that purple Air Force rifles are not defective and you will be charged for the return shipping if you do in fact return one to them.

I wound up calling Pyramydair back and lodging a complaint against the guy in the “return” dept. for being nasty and also for intentionally giving me false information about the product as an excuse for not wanting to refund my full amount. The guy who took my complaint seemed a little surprised that I called Air Force and discussed it with them. He said he’ll be expecting a call from Air Force regarding the incident….

Pyramydair….

The last several items I ordered from them have been nothing short of a goat screw. I decided long ago not to give them my business.

Some of those sales associates in PA are quite ignorant. I told them I did a Chrony test on my gun and he asked me what Chrony was. 🙄 Are they even in the AG business? I think as they expand their business, they hire less qualified personnel and their service quality starts to drop.

Don’t you guys just hate PA’s automated answering service? That lady’s voice drives me nuts!

Call PA, get a manager and file a complaint against the asshole you spoke to earlier…

The only way PA will clean up their act is if they know what is going on, this employee acts under the fact that only a few people complain to the place they were wronged by…

I just got off the phone with Air Force. Very nice woman listened to the whole story …

Her name is Rachel Gonzales. Indeed, very friendly. I had a problem with the CO2 adapter and she shipped out the replacement unit before receiving the return. I was very impressed.

She told me that Air Force would like Pyramydair, and all their distributors, to identify these defective guns and return them to Air Force so that they don’t make it out into the market place.

Sounds to me like this would be an Air Force quality control problem 1st. and Pyramid 2nd.

1st. Air Force they let the poor quality stuff ship, they had to see it Right?

2nd. Pyramid when they opened the box to put the order together. But would a guy working in the shipping department realy notice or care about it?

Pyramid seems to be big, I wonder how many packages a day they ship, and how many each person must ship?

IongIsland,

Thats good to hear. Purple AF guns….LOL.

The problem is sometimes it is only evident in sunlight or a well lighted room.

Pyramydair….

The last several items I ordered from them have been nothing short of a goat screw. I decided long ago not to give them my business.

I just got off the phone with Air Force. Very nice woman listened to the whole story and then clearly told me that the bluing on Air Force rifles is supposed to be a dark matte black — NOT PURPLE —

She told me that she was concerned that Pyramydair is telling customers that the “new” Air Force rifles are supposed to be purple because this simply is not true,,,, and she said she is going to report the matter to her superiors and that Air Force is going to contact Pyramydair and discuss the issue with them.

She told me that Air Force would like Pyramydair, and all their distributors, to identify these defective guns and return them to Air Force so that they don’t make it out into the market place.

She was a very nice woman and she sounded sincere….

You really need to call Airforce or send them an email over the matter.

The anodizing they are doing on a occassion is coming out with a purple hue. That is not acceptable.

I suggest we recommend getting them from Mac1, Straight Shooters, Airhog, Airgun of Arizona and have them insure the gun does not have a purple color. If pyramid is not checking then we need to give the business to those who can.

I already got another Condor from another dealer and it’s black 😀 .

Todays phone call to Pyramydair was just to get my $15.92 rightfully refunded, which in the end they did. Or perhaps I should say he “said” he’d refund my card. I’ll take him on his word but I’ll keep checking my accound to be sure it shows up…..

As for calling Air Force,,,, that’s not a bad idea,,,, I may do that just to let them know what I was told….

Jeff

that’s not cool, I would call rachel at A/F and let her know about the purple not being executable because your not a 13 year old girl that’s into purple, and the fact that one of their biggest accounts are misrepresenting there product. then ask if you can get the replacement gun straight from her
