Need scope suggestions
Who makes a good, dependable mil-dot scope with lighted reticles that can be dimmed very low for night acquisition of targets yet not bright enough that it will cause glare in the scope tube?

I just returned a Leapers 5th gen scope to Pyramyd for a Leapers Accushot 30mm tube 4-16×56 with the EZ tap for the illumination.
The diffence between the two scopes is night and day in all areas.
In the accushot only the mil-dot area illuminates and it can be made very dim. I actually need to close the cover and make sure it is not on. Very nice.
Rick my Nikko Nighteater has very nice IR reticle, with settings that go very low, with no glare what so ever, and very clear. These scopes are pretty good in darker situations anyway, hense the name.

Yeah, thats the problem I have seen with a couple I have looked through, the glare takes away from the image you are looking at down range. I’ll look into the one you mentioned. What I’d really like is a 3rd gen NV scope but DAYUMM at the prices ! ! !
Bushnell has an Elite model with firefly reticle. Rather than actually being illuminated, it glows. Carry around a flashlight and stick it to the rear of the scope for just a sec. It’s not mildot.

I havn’t had an illumated scope that didn’t wash out the image at night, even on lowest settings. May just be that my eyes are sensitive to light.

I second that. That scope has a very nice illumination reticles system and the dots are not too big.
