Standard Valve vs. Hi-Flow Valve
STANDARD VALVE vs. HI-FLOW VALVE
I was wondering what the advantage is to each one of these configurations. If using a barrel 18″ or longer is the hi-flow the way to go even if shooting .22 caliber? If shooting .25 caliber, is the hi-flow a must? The only thing I worry about when it comes to the hi-flow valve is the number of shots and the consistency/accuracy. I am pretty sure I want to end up with a 21″ barrel in .25 caliber. Is the hi-flow tank/valve a given? When is the standard valve setup better and when is the hi-low setup better? Please share your experience with both if own both types. Thanks in advance for your opinion and advice.

well i had a .25 barrel and one of each tank.
i liked the SS tank the best, most consisten, most shots, it was slightly modded with lighter return spring, but it would pump out alot of shots around 60-65 fpe on a single fill
the condor valve in the same setup, would produce more power about 85-90 fpe (again valve slightly modded) bt the powercurve was very hard to get to be any good, i tried alot of things to get it as good as the SS, it just never happened.
i could probably have detuned the condro valve a bit to 75-80 fpe, but honestly i got tired of it….its an airgun, if i wanted more power i could grab my HMR, or 22lr.
60-65 fpe did well for me
currently i shoot .25 at 50 fpe….enough for 100-150 yard shots with full passthrough !
