Q:

Help? Difference between Condor and Talon??

😕 Hi Guys,My first post here.
I know the Condor is more powerful than the Talon, but what makes this difference? Is it the bottle? I talking a stock rifle to stock rifle. Are there really size differences in the frames? All the help would be great.Im interested in a .25 cal Airforce, but want one thats small and powerful to shoot the big Surefire Slugs with authority!
Thanks again for the help!

Benzin, that’s a very helpful post. I can’t remember reading any posts from anyone who has bought a Talon tank for their Condor and regretted it.

a good friend of mine recently sold me his .22 condor (he decided he wanted another gun), he gave it to me with a condor (hi flo) tank and a talon tank. (besides bipod laser scope etc).
And i must say i COMPLETELY prefer the talon tank on it.
it shoots kodiaks over 900fps, with decent consistency for about 45 shots.
and since i have no interest whatsoever in spiting pellets over 1000fps (accuracy goes to the garbage), i must say i see no reason at all to struggle with the problems of the hiflo tank (valve lock, inconsistency, lower shot count, etc).
i am VERY pleased with the condor + talon tank setup. And i think it is the best possible setup for an AF gun.

Todaupah, ask yourself what/where/how/when/why are you going to use your gun for and that will answer some of your questions. From your OP I’d say your looking at a Condor and a call to Tony for the barrel (and maybe some other goodies while you’ve got him on the phone) or has A.F. started selling .25’s ?

What about us studs that have both??

The condor tank on the SS would be the difference.

The difference?

Guys that own Talons get more chicks.

’nuff said!

😆 😉

Now I have a question. Would an SS with the extra hammer weight and condor tank have the same accuracy with the 12inch barrel or should you get a longer barrel when you switch the tanks.

😀 Ok,its getting clearer now.Thanks for the help. 😯

You can take a regular Talon…. add a Condor tank (which is simply a tank with the High Flow valve) and either a custom hammer or the extra hammer weight and have a “Condor SS”

Add a 24 inch barrel to that and you have a Condor (with the minor exception that the Condor frame scope rail is a touch longer)

You can also take a Condor and add a Talon tank….

Combinations are endless….

The only real thing to keep in mind is that with the Condor tank, you’ll need the extra hammer weight.

I’ve even had my Talon with the Condor hammer weight using a Talon bottle… but you have to turn the power wheel all the way down for that one…

Opps, I see the valve is part of the bottle? Correct? Im trying not to get confused, work with me.be Patient. The Condor battle has the better or bigger valve? 😕
Thanks
Jack

😕 So,if I put a Condor tank on a talon ss I’ll get more power than the Talon bottle? Speaking stock bottles,no improvements yet?
I wish I could just focus on a couple of pcps,BUT I want Them All.

😛 Thanks
Jack

High flow valve and extra striker weight is the internal difference.

Obviously, longer barrel on the big bird.
