Q:

LDC no baffles but it has mesh screen inside

How effective is it? Is metal washer works better than the one looks like mesh screen in the LDC.

Have you tried using more or less chambers? I don’t know enough about it to know which is better…

I tried this method, too. Thought it worked reasonably well. I do remember a post that suggested using window screen instead of the Scotchbrite because the Scotchbrite will degrade and leave dust/crud after a while.

Sorry, I must have fallen asleep….I don’t have a fix for the hammer slap….There are some tuners that can help you….Tony @ Talontunes I think has a fix….

Could you or anyone please help me on what to do (buy or make) to eliminate or lower considerably the hammer slap

I made some baffles by wrapping window screening around 5/16 springs, and separating them with washers. Muffled the sound some, but not a ton. So, I cut sections of 1 inch spring, copper piping, washers and o-rings, and it was about half again as quiet. Don’t over-complicate things – just do the washer/spring/o-ring route. It is probably the quietest you are going to get without buying an aftermarket shroud. And if you are looking for an aftermarket shroud for a reasonable price, I recommend the one by Don G. I did a write up about it in the Talon section, complete with a short video.
