How does a silenced Condor compare to a Talon SS?
I am going to modify my condor and I wanted to know if it was possible for it to be as quiet as my talon ss…I will be buying a modulator from Don G….Thanks for any info

which shroud would you say is better? airhog or tony?
I’ve a Talon SS, a Condor in .22 with an AirHog extendor, and a hybrid .25 Talon/Condor with a Tony shroud. I have to say that the impact of the shot is much louder that the actual shot. The shots from each is no louder than opening a pop can. The impact from the long guns (Condor and the hybrid) turns heads. The Talon is less noticable than a fart from a lady.
Now why that’s important; Let the folks think that a bolt from above took the vermin when a shot is fired. There’s no point in making a point by being loud with a gun in this millenia. AKULA
That was wild…..Looked like a job for me….If I thought I could make a living doing it I just might move to russia for the crow killlin…..Not really….In Louisiana the sheriff’ department hunts nutria on four wheelers and in the back of pickup trucks along the gullys and bayous with .22 rifles…That’s a great job….
I couldn’t believe those guys in Russia they just shoot anywhere and dropping crows like crazy.
Wow…Good news that is….Man I shot the Condor with the 24″ and man I could not believe how loud it was….Like a .22 on steroids….More of a boom than a crack….I have heard that Don’s shrouds are good….I am counting on it…Now I am even more excited than ever…..lol
i have a condor with a 12inch barrel and a Don G shroud. i vented the front bushing and its quieter than my stock talon ss. like they said all you hear is the pellet impact you cant even hear the rifle all you hear is a PING

Yep. I have a shroud made by a friend out of ordinary parts, and shooting eun jins/kodiaks at 950fps the “pink” of the breech smacking the valve open is the loudest thing on the gun. It’s so quiet you can actually tell if you hit the animal or not. If you hit, it has a destinctive thud sound, if you miss you won’t hear it.
If you want impact to be silent make the gun shoot at 100fps. Gun will be completely silent and you won’t be able to hear the impact either. Granted you have to shoot at a 45 degree angle to shot 20 yards but it will be silent! 😛

I second that! You “really” hear the impact on the trap right after you hear the hammer hit home. The .25 packs a punch!
I removed the vid I had of mine, but it showed how quiet a simple shroud can get a rifle and mine is .25 caliber. DonG’s stuff is built a lot like mine, but his has more chambers and should be much quieter. You wont be disappointed with it.
My air arms 410 is considerably louder than my Condor, and the 410 is quiet enough to shoot anywhere.
LOL…Any pellet mods out there to quiet the impact> Just kidding…Thanks. I hope it comes out as well as you explained….
With a well-built extender/shroud/insertnamehere, you can get the condor quiet enough you wont be comparing it to noise. The pellet flying thru the air will be louder than the gun, and impact will become the thing you wish you could silence.

a friend of mine had a silenced condor (“had” because now its mine 😈 ), and it is a LOT quieter than any “out of the box” talon ss ibe ever seen.
The gun is a standar condor (have both hiflo and standar tanks), with a 6″ moderator on the barrel. with the supressor attached Its kinda long, but VERY quiet. the pellet strike is about the loudest sound that comes out of it.
