Double Choked barrel??
I pushed a pellet through the barrel of my Condor and 3″ from the breach end it hit a choked area for about an inch then it is snug all the way until an inch from the end where it gets choked again.
Does anyone else has the same thing on their Condor/Talon 24″ barrel.

Hay! I noticed the same thing on my latest 9MM gun.
The barrel is tight in the area machined for the hammer, then loose past that.
I figured it was just a cheep barrel (Addams and Bennet).
I was very careful to not heat up the barrel, as I cut it in the lathe.

To preserve the choke, always shorten from the breech end.
Thanks Walter makes a lot of sence. Now if I was to shorten the barrel to 18″ from the breach, removing that choke should not affect the barrel accuracy since the crown end choke is still present right?
when the barrel is turned for the breech slide the tensions are released allowing the barrel to ‘grow’ so that will be what you are feeling.
three inchs should put you right where the barrel is full sized.
No problem provided the gun shoots well.
Not much can be done to prevent this.

There are tensions built up in the stell from the rolling and hammer forging so when material is removed the bore will grow ever so slightly as witnessed when pushing a slug through.
