Just finished Anodeising the aluminum parts.
Trigger housing is gray and the rest is black.

I bought 44 inches of the 45-70 barrel today.
The length should give HUGE power.
Hope its straight.

Actually, I am an amateur at anodeizing.
The trigger group is a different alloy than the 6061 uppers.
The trigger group is anodized, but it didnt take the dye the same as the uppers.
I am not good enough to give anyone lessons on how to anodize, but I will post photos of my modest setup.
I have been trying to find a long 45 cal. barrel, for the next gun.
I have searched everywhere looking for a 40 inch 45-70 barrel.
Tomorrow I am calling Badger Barrel and will see if they will make one for me. Theres just enough winter left to build one more gun.

Mark I would like to see your setup. Played with it and would like to try again. My Vulture would be a good candidate.
for a .45 barrel I would rec’d the Track of the Wolf 45-70 liner.
That is what i am using and it is amazing accurate. Best part is the sell by the inch! 🙂

Looks Good 😀 anodizing realy sets it off and is well worth the trouble’ the trigger group has an intresting colour ? is it anodized grey or just the alloy colour ?

yes it will be straight, mine were shipped to me on a board and very well protected.
