Tips / Tricks for Breech Orings
I got some Breech Orings coming and was wondering if anyone had any tips, tricks or problems I should look for when doing the change…I already have Silicon and I figure I’ll need dental picks….

I pulled the old one out with a sowing needle and shoved the new one back in and set it with the barrel
I kinda figured…LoL…There are 16 others so watch them all !!!!!!
Sound pretty easy guys !! Lowes has some dental pics so I will get them cuz with airguns there is always something you can use them for..
To remove the O-Rings, I took a sewing needle and bent it into a hook shape and pulled out each O-Ring on the first try, to put in new ones I used two wooden dowels approx. the size of the inside of the breech to push the o ring into the groove.
In essence, i pinned the o ring between the two pieces of dowel and moved it around in the breech until I felt it “Click” into place…. 3-4 minute job, max.

They wear out over time, and the ones that AF uses are a little chintzy to boot.
Fresh o-rings (90 durometer, preferably) keep things sealed up and ensure that most of the air goes down the barrel instead of leaking out the sides and back.
What does changeing the o ring do?

Actually to re-insert, shove them in side ways then use an unsharpened pencil to slide it up into position itll catch the groove may have to give it a little help from the other side
No biggie… a little silicone and a bright light to see what you’re doing and it’s a piece of cake.
When I prepared to do mine, I got myself all worked-up into a flop sweat anticipating some major challenge. 😆
As it turned out, the o-rings were the simplest part of the operation. Trying to get the stinkin’ trigger assembly back together was the tough part! 😳

a metal dentil pick works great, I have one that has a mini hook bent in it, great for extraction!!! For insertion
I gave mine some silicone grease and kinda pushed her in there sideways and used the pick to maneuver where shes supposed to go, easy job.
The o-rings can be removed quite easily with a safety pin or similar. Some have used a toothpick.
Putting them back in is easy once you learn a little trick.
Push the ring into the breech, use a dull tool to push one end of the ring into the groove. A wooden toothpick works good for this. Now push the breech plug onto the barrel, and the barrel will push the ring flat and it pops into the groove all by itself.
Trick is to go easy, dont mash it and dont get the tool caught between the barrel and breech plug. You could probably use a drinking straw in place of the barrel to push the ring into place, it should be stiff enough.
