.25 cal barrel length
I just bought a 25 cal lw barrel blank from leemark. I plan on useing it for hunting (turkey, pigs, yotes). If I cut the barrel down to 18″ so I can use a 6 inch shroud, would it be worth it? or would I loose alot of perfomance over the 24″ barrel (range and power). I would also then need a 12″ shroud.
just looking for some experience and input.

For those kinds of prey(yotes) you gonna want lots of power. You’ll need the 24″ slinging as heavy a piece of lead as you can. 80 FPE + for sure.
Never shot yotes myself, but I do know the canine family has a tough skull !!
Foxes require a fair amount of oomph from the gun, and they are alot smaller than coyotes…
