Need help trouble shooting a Condor tank fill problem
The tank has an adapter between the tank and the air valve that has a QC fitting on one side and a pressure gauge on the other. I am not sure if this is also a regulator or not. I have filled the tank before to about 2,800 lbs using the AF adapter and the QC fitting with no problems but, I tried to fill the bottle through the QC fitting today, and when I get to 2100 lbs I hear a click and the pump won’t put any more pressure in the bottle. I don’t hear any air leakage when I am pumping so I don’t think it is a fitting…I can fill it through the air valve if I use the AF fill adapter so I am sure the pump is working fine….Any ideas about what is happening?

Empty your tank completely.
Take off the foster fiting and remove the check valve.
Look for any debris and damage.
Relube the check valve oring with divers silicon and make sure it can move smoothly inside the foster.
Reinstall and fill.
It appears that when the pump and bottle pressures equalize it clicks and then won;t take any more pressure….Could it be the scrader valve in the foster fitting?
It sounds like a reg. to me but to why it is closing I have no idea.
It does sound like a valve click. It even makes the gauge needle twitch, and then nothing after that…It’s not a problem filling it through the air valve…It is just that having a quick connect you don’t have to unscrew the bottle from the gun…Just a little Quicker to hook it up and go….

I know this isn’t very helpful, but if it works to fill it through the valve, why not do that?
As for why it won’t fill the other way, only thing I can think is something came loose and when the pressure builds up enough it latches itself to some hole in there that seals it, preventing any more filling. No idea how to check or fix it, but a possible cause.
