.22 Kodiak Pellets…………?
I am very happy with my .22 kodiak pellets. But reciently have noticed that some of them don’t fit as tight in the barrel as others. They all fit good and are not loose, just some seem to press eaiser into the barrel. Haven’t put them to paper yet, but no problem with iron targets. Have anyone else noticed this or is it a common thing. It’s always been like this with crosmans pellets!

My micrometer is on loan and to be returned soon. So I borrowed a pair of dial caliper from my shop. 4th diget is estimated. calipers are not calibrated. I found it hard to take make Measurements on soft lead pellets. These are my results.

Variance in head and skirt size, as well as weight, can vary significantly in many pellets, Kodiaks included. Depending on how much you want to minimize variables in your shooting accuracy, you could size them then weigh them to sort the pellets…
There’s quite a few FT shooters that wash, size, weigh and lube pellets so they can have the most accuracy and confidence in the pellets they are shooting. This is predominantly done with Crosman Premiers and Premier Heavies…

All is well in MA, thenk God the snow is melting, looking forward to spring and spending more time outdoors.
I have it the same for red squirells, right amount of power and not too loud. I fill all the way up to 2800 but take about five shots to check scope and bring the air pressure down. If I were a better shot I would probably go for the head with a lower power setting. Having said that I have never run low on air @ #6 power setting.
Got three red squirells yestersay with body shots using 21gr Kodiacks on power #6, they just droped where they were hit, until I improve that will have to do.

What power setting do you use on the Condor ?
Hi Condorhunter, how are things in Mass.? I don’t have my condor with me right now so can’t look but I know I keep it past the half way point looking at it in fractions about 2/3 towards full power. IIRC around 7. Also I fill to 2500.
Kodiaks fit semi-loosely in all 3 of my Condors but not too bad whether .22 or .25. I think it’s a good fit. The 28.4gr Eun Jins fit perfectly it seems in the .22, and are pretty accurate as well. Kodiak is still the most accurate one in all 3.

What power setting do you use on the Condor ?
I use them in my condor also. They are my main “bread and butter” pellet. I’m happy with them.
I have been using Kodiaks for hunting in my condor for a couple of weeks. Although I only hunt red squirell at the moment, I am impressed with them, very consistent, great knock down power, and this is with the condor’s power wheel at #6.
I would highly recomend them for hunting.
The Kodiaks seem to fit tighter than the others…I think some of that is that the skirt doesn’t give as much as the others because it is thicker….Shoots fine though….Makes a better seal….

MAN, as far as I’m concerned that’s too much variation in the skirt. I could see a variation between .226 and .228. Here, we have skirt variation from .216 to .225 not a one of them hit .227. I wonder how much better the match would fare?
