Gonna need a moderator.
Hi everybody, I’ve just purchased a Talon SS from the classifieds and am interested in making it as quiet as possible. I’ve emailed both talon tunes and DonG about building me a custom gun -prior to buying the used one – but didn’t get a response. Hopefully both are well and just too busy to respond. Anyway, I’d like to buy a moderator but don’t know who to contact. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

I also recommend Get The Blue Jay, I just recieved my “lead dust collector” for my Talon with the 18in. barrel, before the shroud this thing
was loud, installed my shroud (which only took a few minutes) went to
the garage fired a couple of test shots and WOW, this thing is quiet!
I feel comfortable enough to shoot in the back yard without my dumba!!
neighbor looking over his privacy fence seeing what the noise is.
For the price and quality you can’t go wrong with GTBJ’s shroud. 😀

I already ordered one and have been waiting for a while. I think Don’s been busy opening up an auto shop. I’ve tried making my own but it’s just not good enough. I can’t wait for mine to arrive!

CO2sniper, how long is your Don G. shroud? By how long I mean how much length does the shroud add to your Talon SS? Is it one of his 2″ shrouds? What caliber is your TSS and is your front barrel bushing vented?
Go Don G… my TSS is as quiet as an 80’s Red Ryder BB gun and sees most of my shooting these days. Great setup, he is good with AF guns per speaking with him. Send him a private email message here on this forum he goes under shrpshotr28 I believe. Good luck in quieting your new killer.

Yep GTBJ is the man, very happy with the one I purchased from him.
Great guy to deal with, I put one on my talon that has a 24″ .25cal barrel and was amazed at it’s performance !!!
Just shoot him a pmsg and let him know what you have gun set-up wise.

Sorry to not answer the second inquiry of yours on your original post…my TSS is 177 and totally stock with no venting, it was recently sent to AF under warranty and they put a new valve and worked it over now it is awesome and perhaps due to proper top hat alignment was quieter with stock endcap than prior to sending it in when it worked properly…originally bought it used from a Miami dealer had some kinks in it and an early model. Don G mentioned that .177 is a tad quieter than .22 or .25…you will like yours on order..hope it arrives shortly.
