Barska turret adjusters are not as usable as the BSA.
Barska parallax adjustment doesn’t seem to be as sensitive as the BSA.
I think I am going to return the Barska and keep the BSA…
Well that’s interesting…
It’s a different model than the one you bought, but my Barska’s AO is marked down to 25 yds, but you can turn it a bit past the mark (less than 25 yds). Nice clear pic at 10 yds, although I rarely do any shooting that close.
The turret adjusters on mine offer 1/8″ MOA clicks, that’s about as fine-tune adjustable as it gets, in my book.
Nothing to say about the sensitivity, never really compared it to anything else.
Again, that’s interesting. Thanks for that info, didn’t mean to lead you on a goose chase.
Always call them before ordering because their website doesn’t let you know their current stock.
I guess those are lessons to be learned in the world of airgunning….

Barska does not have the ability to focus down to 10yds like the BSA.

Be looking forward to it I,m going to be shootin a bunch of co2 tomarrow too. Have fun!
Oh it appears that I had a cornicopia of problems….fill psi, PW setting, pellets, clipping, and possible scope adjustment moving around….Most is fix except for my shooting but I will throw on the new scope tomorrow and confirm the accuracy of the scope I have on now….I might just have to shoot all day…..
I thought your problem was clipping.
As they say, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, yes?
Just asking, since you’re trying to nail down your POI prob.
Oh, that….I think the mounts are solid I am just not sure about the scope I have now. The new scope comes with rings also and I am not quite sure if they are 1″ or 30mm so I’ll have to sort that out when I get it TOMORROW…Yes I opted for next day delivery..Was only $11.00 extra and shipping was free…Looks like I’ll have to spend all day trying it out….lol…Thanks for the heads up though Buzzcat. I due tend to overlook details….
Well, considering your issue, which mount are you using?

A $900 scope won’t work right if it’s not nailed down to the gun with a quality mount to keep it straight and steady.
Just asking, since you’re trying to nail down your POI prob, and I’m just throwing this out there to see if it helps.
Don’t mean to muddy the water, but have you addressed your scope mount?
Por que? What should I know about the scope mount ?

I am glad you guys understand all of that…I hope the POA and POI stay set……..
That focal plane reticle sounds really nice. All scopes should be like that.
Well Optics Planet messed up. They told me it was on back order so Itold them to cancel the order and I ordered one from Binoculars.com. Well then Optics Planet called me back and told me that the order had actually been filled and shipped….Now I have 2 of them coming……I am going to be refusing to recieve one unless somebody wants to work something out…..No trouble for me either way…..

It was more of an information gathering mission buzzcat…I am glad I did it because it answered a ton of questions I was having….
The turrets on this one were 1/4″ MOA also….It was a great scope if you want to shoot only long distance but I have a target set up in the house at about 12yds and it just would not focus that close….
I am glad I got to do the comparison…I am much more confident that the BSA is performing the way it should…..I don’t think the BSA is a better scope it just didn’t fit my needs as well….
