Wood for a set of grips?
Hi all, new to the fourm here and a proud owner of a airforce condor.
man i love this gun an want to say this fourm rocks ,lots of nice people i see form reading all the post everyday for past weeks ,love all the info you all provide. So my quesion is how is cherry wood for a set of grips and forarm ,i just go a nice peice of a job site, ive see a few of grips made on here and wanted to try to make a set just was wonderin on how cherry would be to work with and what fnish to use?

hi mate i,ve seen a few stocks made from cheery and most off the lads have used the same stuff as me to finnish there stocks . 4-5 coats off a good oil anmd two wax coats . after every coat but the last sand down with 600 wet and dry to give u a clear flat and shiney finnish . this is a stock i done a few months ago for a lad
