Q:

Condor Came Today!

.177, CO2. I put a Leapers 3-9X40 scope on high rings on top of a trirail–and it’s barely high enough for my fat head. Sigh.

I put a couple hundred CPHPs down the pipe after it got here. Best I could manage was to hit a 3/4 inch circle pretty much every time, after it was sighted. Not great, but I’m happy for a first time out. That was, of course, off a rest.

Shooting off hand with no support I couldn’t hit squat. But the pull length was way short and to get the “cheek pad” (tank) to the right height I had to have the end of the tank about on top of my shoulder–neither of which leads to great shooting. At least, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!

From a standing bipod I could hit my 1 1/2 inch flip ups with no problem, even with the end of the tank on top of my shoulder.

But I didn’t like it so I made a “temporary” stock until I can get around to making a nice laminated one piece stock. I like the rifle, but I’m not sold on the military look to it.

In the meantime, I think this will work although I haven’t actually shot it with the stock on it, yet. That’s what tomorrow is for.

Shoot the hell out of it.

They’re a blast. 😉

Thanks SacShooter. If the only way to post pix is to go through PhotoBucket it isn’t worth it.

I don’t feel so bad about my wooden stock, now! 😳

Have fun with your new toy, when I first got my SS I only had co2, I remember shooting by my self whole tins of pellets for the first few days.

this may help you with the image posting:

To help with the cold tank, you can slide on a foam beer cooler on some tanks 💡

I found this helps,

Roger

Nest step is to figure out how to add a pix. I bet someone can tell me . . .

I could look it up. But that would be work. And it’s dinner time. And I’m hungry! 😆
