Same here AKULA. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Having a wife get hurt is similar to having a child get hurt, in that, you wish you could take the pain on yourself and bear the pain for them. Get well soon Mrs. AKULA.

I didn’t know about her injury. Sorry to hear this. Or thoughts and prayers go out ot her.

Get the Jay; We do this type of yote hunting east of Yuma, up to 100 or so miles east of Yuma but close to the city works too.

As far as Madam Director;

– She’s in a hell of a lot of pain. More areas popping up daily. Her sternum started to ache yesterday. That’s from all the broken ribs.

– She can’t bring to mind simple words to describe parts of her body that hurt. Today she pointed at her lower leg at an area that is swelling (edema). She couldn’t remember the name of that area of the body. It was her calf. She’s suffered a concussion and some brain damage from the impact.

– She is eating a little solid food but suffers a lot of nausea all day long.

She’s one tough lady but an accident like that takes its toll. AKULA

Aku, what area are you talking abut?
I rarely hear them at night and have only seen one here and that was when I was out riding the quad 😈 I would love to go somewhere I know there at and start calling them in 😉

BTW – hows the wife doing, hope as is well and my thoughts go out to both of you.

A Weatherby 30.378 pops out of the barrel at just under 4000 fps at 4000 ftlbs of energy with standard factory loads of 180 grains.

Max distance on yotes? If I can see them, I can vaporize them.

Here’s the lazy man’s way to hunt yotes. Go to Arizona, drive the dirt roads out in the desert, jump a coyote, let it run. Stop the truck, grab your sniper rifle, watch the yote run through your scope. When the thing stops to look back over its shoulder to laugh at you (usually between four and five hundred yards), touch the trigger. Priceless. AKULA

right now I’m shooting – hot shot 7mm remington magnum 175 grain, Muzzle Velocity: 2772 fps, Muzzle Energy: 1644 ft. lbs. and yes it’s messy 😈

What is your max. distance for a clean kill on a coyote?

with the 7mm, 300 or so yards, with the condor, don’t know I’v never tried it, but there is no way in hell I would try a 100 yard shot on one with a .22 pellet

I can’t imagine the carnage a 7MM mag does. What are the specs. on that? Got to be something like 150 Gr. at around 3000 Fps. ????? Am I close???

pigeons and coyote

Was wondering what kind of vermin you would be shooting at 100 yards.

If it wasnt for my previous assertion I’d have something to say about this.

Cali. Must have small locomotives 😆

You said wait for a .25, Is airforce finally coming out with one? Every one so far has had to purchase one after market.

Drach; A .22 Condor or Talon will do just what you want on a pigeon and then some. A .25 Condor will weaken your knees, impress your friends, get you free beer and get you laid. It’s that damn good.

I own a Talon SS in .22. A Condor in .22 and Talon/Condor hybrid in .25. I use all three but I grab the .25 when I absolutety insist my target must die in silence, without fanfare.

Then again, .25 ammo is a bit difficult to get. There are lots of trade offs in life. I suggest you buy both.

Another thought, when I want to make a lot of noise, shoot something at 1000 yds, and make something over 1000 lbs go down, I grab my WBY 30.378. It makes a hell of a lotta noise but 4,000 ft/lbs of energy at the barrel will stop a locomotive.

It’s all in your needs and perspective. AKULA
