Talon Tunes Supressor
Do you have to have the vented bushings to use a talon tunes supressor? I put my friends supressor on my condor minus the vented bushing and blew the damn thing across the yard on power setting 5 i had the screw in the end plenty tight i was just wondering if the condor had too much air to displace in the tube alone or if i need to drill the bushings to keep this from happening again.

I would recomend venting the bushing.

I notice my condor is all most slicence except for the hammer slap noise with the vented bushing and TT shrouds.
Try putting a couple wraps of clear packing tape around the part that goes into the barrel so that it fits snug…Might help it hang on better..Might not….Start @ PW2 and see if it moves…
I have a deep groove for my grub screw to seat into, and it is slowly blowing the shroud out of the gun. It has moved about 1/16″ so far, in about 6 months.
The groove is in the aluminum adapter that slides into the frame.
No wasnt plugged and used a bore light to look at the baffles nothing ever rattled in the rifle and no baffles are creased just went to power adjustment 5 and it sailed 30yds across the yard.
was it plugged with something, or perhaps you shot right in to a baffle and pushed it out, and as far as being .002 over that’s nothing, but welcome to A/F quality control 😉
the grub was plenty tight you can plainly see where it dug into the base of the moderator as it was blown off.scraped the metal away. also i should tell you all that the newer model airforce rifles are larger on the inside of the frame than last years i dont know why i measured the inside of my condor, my friends talon, and another friends ss the inside of my condor was abour .002 larger the silencer press fit into both of thier rifles and slid right into mine.
you didn’t have the grub tight enough, they will work just fine without the bushing vented.
stalker — Wish I could answer your question because I have a TT Shroud on my Condor but my front bushing is vented. However, on my TalonSS with 18 inch barrell is not and my TT Shroud has never blew off.

well i cut the piece of the shroud that was damaged out ha the ends machined where they are perfectly straight and am getting it welded back together today then i am going to coat it with red locktite and drill a dimple into the aluminum piece that slides into my frame along with venting my bushings this should hold the shroud in place
