A further note on A.F. pumps…..
The thread cutting on these assembly’s has got to be the worse shit I’ve ever seen take care when going thru teardown as they will cut the hell outta you if your not careful!! I used a buffing wheel with jeweler’s rouge on the brass fittings this helped tremendously the steel entry ports to the main body were chase with copious amounts of cutting oil this corrected most of the problem there. The main air tube is terrible on both ends my fix because there’s not enough material to rechase in a lathe was to wrap coarse steel wool around a soft wooden dowel sized a 1/4 inch smaller than the tube loaded with cutting oil and ream it back and forth as though screwing it together, the plastic sheet is used for making canopy’s on R.C. planes and is easily cut with scissor’s, the reason the originals cracked is just crappy chinese shit the check ball left a perfect half circle indent that started them cracking. Hope this is of help.
