Need answers from AAS410 owners
My first PCP was my Talon(Tony tuned) that I am very happy with. Now I am looking at a Air Arms S410 carbine .22 cal. I like S410 because it is a repeater and I have read really great reviews of it on this forum. I am leaning toward the carbine over the classic because I will hunt with it and I like the small size. My Talon gets about 27 foot pounds with JSB 15.8gr. OK here go my questions:
Will the S410 carbine reach 27 foot pounds or higher?
What shot count can I expect at full power?
How loud is it with shroud that comes from the factory? Can you compare it to an 18″ Talon with Tony shroud? How loud is it at low power?
I would love to hear from everyone that has experience with this gun.
The only drawback to the Classic version is the length. Pyramid Air website lists length as 35″ for the carbine and 44.5″ for the classic.

I never shot over a chrony but i’am going down to cobra airguns for my new hill pump today i can ask them .It’s great having a awesome airgun shop 7miles from my house .The guys down there shoot everything everyday and they share there guns for test shooting freely. I can tell you this it has power i have taken raccoons with ease drop like stones . For my needs it’s perfect i only take kill shots and never past 50 yds on anything bigger than a feral cat . It has a little less power than the ERB it dosn’t bother me or do i notice it .I will get back to you later with what they say,maybe they will let me shoot over there chronyand i can give you direct feed back , Tackdriver like your rig looks real nice thumb holes are real nice in the palm of the hand , chris

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help. Thanks Yellow Ninja for correcting me on the length. Hey Knot have you shot your carbine over a chrony yet? Can you share and velocities with particular pellets. I only ask because as I look around on the net I have seen the carbine listed as 23fpe, 25fpe, and even 30fpe. Thanks
The Classic isn’t 44″ that’s for sure – the Extra is 44″…
Pyramid only have the Extra and the Carbine listed. Classic is in between the two – sold by Ponoma and others.

27 fpe sounds about right, though I haven’t chrony’d mine lately. 30 shots is also about right. It is a great shooter. I had an LDC made for mine for high power shots as it is a little louder than I’m comfortable with in the backyard. With the LDC its nice and quiet, quieter than a stock TSS, but not as quiet as a TSS with shroud. Hope that helps.
low power sounds like a mouse fart on high power the twack of pelt is louder it will shoot 27 fpe and i get about 30 full shots and today i dropped another feral pidgeon from 60 yds like a stone , I owned the ERB and sold it for my carbine it was awesome but i’am a small guy and the carbine fits my frame better . With the ERB i dropped squierillsfrom 80yds it got 40 to 50 full power shots and it was heavy but it shot nice .heres a pic with a fat rat i slayed

[/img] and here’s the carbine i love the gun and never get tired of shooting it giving up the shots is no problem since i only shoot varmints very little paper you can see the size diffrence
