Does anyone have any experience with .20 cal 23 grain Eun Jins- in an 18″ barrel setup. Accuracy? Velocity? I am settling on them for My high power setup. My valve is stock , hammer stock ….

Been shootin .177 Kodiaks out of my 18″ for the last four months- am a little disappointed with the performance of the 24gr sam yangs in my gun since just switching back over to .20 cal. The CP 14.3 .20 is laser beam dead on – seems like the valve in my tank was made for these with the 18″- pw7 25 shot string-3000psi from last to first—876 874 867 874 854 877 880 872 883 873 853 859 856 831 850 843 843 838 828 818 831 852 822 831 827 ….stopped removed the tank checked the pressure – pump meter reading 2700 psi – didnt top off the tank – but lightened the load 13.3gr kodiaks pw still at 7–15 shots from first to last- 882 891 885 884 884 881 883 870 886 881 875 870 849 866 845 first 25 shots one hole- the back end 15 grouped in one hole as well… gonna try and remember my photobucket usr and paswrd and i will post some pics this evening- maybe Ill spend the summer with .20cal 😈

3000psi pw9 23/24gr sam yangs in .20cal–20 shots 828 832 830 841 844 844 851 847 840 837 822 818 826 824 798 801 795 788 782 774— moved pw down to 6 shot another 20 shots in the high to mid 700s . Takes alot of air to get these things movin- yesterdays numbers seem to have been botched- hadda put a new battery in the chrono this morning-numbers seemed really high yesterday– Filled the tank to 3000psi set the pw at 8 and noticed that the velocity was way more consistent and almost as high shot 20 and the first 10 shots were all right between 812 and 833 then sloped down thru 789 as the 20th shot.. I am supposing -such a heavy projectile could benefit from a longer barrel – with my stock valve setup- but I wont be doing that any time soon. Accuracy was good at 25 yards- with a 3000psi fill pw at 8.5 bc shines thru with 30 ftlbs at the target 25 yards.I dont think this is exactly what I was looking for – I need more shots per fill since I hand pump. Think I may be more fascinated with 25ftlbs and the 14.3gr .20cal premier that flies from the low to mid 800s thru the low 900s back down to the mid to high 800s over 40 shots-with tremendous accuracy to boot.

I know these aren’t what you’re looking for but it seems like a pretty good deal…..

Sounds good to me ,I hope the accuracy meets your expectations.

18″ .20cal barrle is in —standard tank filled to 2800 psi- pw at 7.5—-5 shots —798 807 801 816 821— next five shots pw at 8.5—837 841 849 834 843——filled tank to 2900 psi set pw to 9– 857 859 848 853 855– filled to 3000psi -pw at 10.5–866 860 871 864 860—well looks like I got just what I was looking for as far as velocity for the 23/24 grainer- just under 40ftlbs 😈 Well gonna have to do some testing with extended strings from 3000psi fills. thees sam yang .20s are snugg in the bore and were very debris ridden from the manufacture- washed them dried them and lubed them.—will post a little later on the accuracy

All right I’m all hears or eyes.

well they are here — gonna pull the .177 barrel out and slam the .20 in — n-ima see what they do. 😈

With the power wheel full blast I can get 1150 down to 1000, but I was just thinking my gun is a Condor, so maxed out maybe 900 is obtainable.

Yeah I’ve heard that they are pretty tight in the bore- I tend to lube every tin of pellets that I get as well- just wanted to be in the 35ftlb range without getting a .22cal barrel. If my 18″ .20 cal barrel will speed those eun jins along at around 830 or so I will be content as long as they are accurate. I ordered 4 tins last night. I am hoping that they do the trick. thanks maw. You say 900 or so with an 18″ barrel-stock valve and hammer???—any one else shootin .20 eun jins with an 18″ barrel -stock valve and hammer? ❓

I have a 24″ barrel and it will shoot EJ’s easily at 900 FPS and your’s will too. They are quite accurate, a bit tight, but that’s all I’ve been using lately, and I usually lube mine.
