Buying used airguns
Anthing I should look out for when buying a used PCP. I am looking at a used S410 side lever. The seller says excellent condition, offers a return in not satified and is on the BOI at the yellow forum. The used price saves me $110.00 off new. Would you guys buy a used PCP to save $110 or would you spend the extra to get a new one. Thanks

Is the warranty worth $110 ? I think so.

I would cough up the $110.00 extra and get the brand spankin new one !!
That’s a no brainer, don’t even f-ck around, if youre gonna do it do it right the first time and quit trying to save a buck !!!
Buying new, nobody has f’ed with it, your guaranteed under factoty warranty.

Gimme a used Talon or Condor at $110 off list price and I’m all over it. 😉
If you could physically hold,shoot and check it out in person it may be worth it . Also have to consider how much in gas it would cost to go check it out..

For $110 bucks it might be a risk. Here is the reasoning. If comes broken by UPS or is not in the same shape or has been screwed with by the owner your $110 might fade quickly when you allow for shipping and time.
Find the best price you can. Then contact Steve at PAG or Straight Shooters and have them match it. At SS you will not have to pay tax. And if it has a problem you have some protection. Steve at PAG is good as gold and I actually drove to his place in the High Desert to pick it up because I did not want to risk shipping.
Also with a used gun you have no warranty and will have to pay if something goes wrong in a couple of months.
Is it $110 cheaper AFTER the 10% off coupon at Pyramid?… otherwise it’s about the same price.
Also factor in additional shipping costs if your going to need to buy accessories from Pyramid anyway.
Pyramid will charge shipping if you use the 10% coupon – but its well worth giving up $12 shipping cost to save $100 off $1000, I’m pretty sure its going to be better packaged and cheaper than a private seller.
for $110 in savings wouldn’t be worth it to me, for that wee bit of savings I would just by a new one

Well that seems pretty unanimous!!!! Thanks guys, I appreciate your opinions and I will follow your advise. WOK thanks for the info on Straight Shooters. Now if I can just make up my mind between the Classic S410 or the ERB?????????? 😆
