AimX Pistol came !
Just got this from Precision Airgun and Supplies.
I don’t like low magnification pistol scopes, but I wanted to shoot it in a relatively normal pistol stance so I got a cheap long eye relief 2-7x32mm scope, a bit of a compromise as its a “scout” rifle scope – works how I want though. Has a 10x1mm threaded barrel and a fosters quick connect for filling
Well made and a stamp I always like to see – “Made in England” 
Press down on the release button and out pops the cocking knob
Finish pulling it back to cock the gun 
Insert pellet in the tray and then push the knob forward 
The barrel seems to extend back past the breech and has half of its diameter milled away to form the loading area. The little pin you can see is what I’m guessing is retaining the barrel. Stock is nicer than I thought – I’d prefer a more Ranchero/10m pistol look to it with maybe a palm shelf but it feels nice and looks better in person.
Trigger is fully adjustable and very nice and light
It comes supplied with a FAC hammer spring (non FAC is installed). I haven’t got a Scuba as mines being Hydro’d so I just shot it with the air it came with and its shooting JSB’s at 300 fps for just over 3 fpe. With the FAC spring it should get close to 11 fpe. The Serial number got its last letter double printed – 8 and 7….
I spoke with Precision just to make sure it wouldn’t be a warranty issue and he offered to take it back and send another without me even asking – I’m going to keep it, nice quirk to the gun.

From 9.8 fpe to 11.3 fpe. Going to have to look into this a bit more extensively to make sure, but it looks like I’m going to end up with a small hole in my end cap !
Maybe a small disk of air-filter paper inside? Keep the innards clean?
Interesting, I wouldnt have thought of the vacuum problem.
alot of rifles are made like that, my B50 was creating so much vacume behind the hammer it robbed it of 10-15 fpe when going for high power
real nice gun though, i might have to get me one of those, on the other hand the ruger mk3 hunter shoot very nice allready
I just tried that – Fresh 3000psi fill, several shots, pretty consistant – 519, 521 etc with 527 being the fastest I measured.
Without the screw and me just holding the end cap so it is vented first shot was 567, second 565.

you should try remove the endcap screw so the hammer gets ventet might add some power, you can then if it helps, drill the screw for a reversible mod, or drill the endcap for a more permanent solution

EDIT.: a washer in front or rear of the hammer spring might get you to 12-13 fpe, and should also be a safe mod

Looks like a good candidate for a shoulder stock 8)
I replaced the spring with the included FAC spring, Simplest spring change ever – The polar opposite to a BSA S-10 Spring I changed once.
Remove single stock screw, then unscrew single Allen screw from rear of trigger housing, pull off the receiver cap and that’s it.
Here are the two springs side by side, long one is FAC.
Quick look inside the action.
Went from 300fps to 535fps with 15.8gr JSB’s which is 10fpe. There has been a slight icnrease in velocity from when I first installed the spring so it might pick up a bit more.
Has a 10x1mm thread, which I need to make/buy an adapter to 1/2 UNF so I can do this –

Looks great… cant wait to hear your full take on the gun. For the price, cant beat it if one is in the market for a good PCP pistol.

That’s one neat looking pea shooter there Ninja. I’m especially partial to that “solidly built” trigger (AirForce take note).

I haven’t drilled any holes in the receiver cap, but I did clean up the inside and apply some moly here and there. Now I get above 11 fpe without any venting – Which I still might try.
Here’s velocity string.
I’ll be checking with Chairgun for the POI change at 30 yards between all those and then pick how many shots, likely be much closer to 20 shots than 30 though.
