Scope Question
I just got a new Condor and mounted a Leapers 3×9 40 AO scope. I sighted the scope in to shoot crosshairs on the bullseye at 25 yards. If I move to 10 yards the point of impact is about 4 to 5 inches low. I can compensate by using the mil dots but that seems like a large POI change for just 15 yards of distance. I can hit the bullseye at 10 yards by raising the scope to the 5th mil dot. Accuracy is dead on…..groups are dime size or smaller. I am using Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy (18.1 grain) and a power setting of 6. I also shot some Crow Mags and Polymags and they seem to all shoot about the same.
Is this normal for POI to change that much over a 15 yard distance? Should I use a higher power setting? At this level the pellet blows through a 2×4 at 10 yrds.
