Difference between 1/2×20 and 1/2×28 unf threads?
what do the numbers 20 and 28 represent? If i were to put 1/2″x28 threads on a condor barrel would i still be able to put on accessories?

Awwww, that’s just mean. Jclee, “1/2-28 UNF or 1/2×28″ means the thread size is 1/2″ or .500” outside, or major diameter of the threads, standard 60 degrees between any two threads, and 28 tpi, threads per inch. UNF means University of Florida, famous for making threads per inch and orange juice, which all machinists like.
It can also mean Unified Fine thread. They used to go by UNF or UNC, unified fine or unifed coarse, when I was in school they used to say Universal Fine or Coarse; nowadays because people like so many different grades in between the UNF and UNC, they just specify the tpi after the major diameter with either an “x” or a “-” between the diameter and the tpi measurements. So really, you should be using just the major diamter x tpi and leave off the UNF or UNC after.
