How’d you end up taking off the front part?

heated it up a little, and used the rubber mallet and piece of wood tech.

Alright I installed my muzzle break! Nothing fancy just working with what I have…

once again thank you for all the help!

Here’s what it looks like;

Problem number 2! the random screw used to mount the rear sight, I might just grind it off I could not loosen it with plyers or anything..

Thanks for the help, now to embark on my mission.

good point lama i used a hair dryer on mine it made it a little easier but i guess you should be carefull if you use heat at all

heat it a little with a hair dryer or heat gun and it will be easier to remove

Or use napalm and just cook it off.

Put the barrel and front sight on a sturdy bench with a towel underneath. Get a STRONG piece of wood such as a short piece of 2×4 and press one edge of the 2×4 up against the front sight and then get a rubber mallet and smack it against the back of the 2×4. Might want to protect the top of the barrel with the towel over the barrel in case the mallet misses and if its thin enough you could even place it between the back of the site and the 2×4.

Take rubber hammer or 2×4 wood and just wack it off.

Ha, I thought the thread title was going to continue with something like
‘ break a mans neck using just two fingers’ 😆
