Bushnell Elite 6500
I think I have found the perfect scope. It’s pretty pricey for an air rifle but I was able to justify the purchase by using Warne Quick Detach rings. I can easily switch it between my Talon SS and my other varmint rifles like my 17 HMR or my 223. I love how close I am able to focus (less than 10 yards) and the magnification range of 2.5 – 16 is just too cool! Did I mention it also has side parallax focus and 80 moa of adjustment. I would have purchased the smaller 40mm but found a great price on the 50mm.

I bought the Warne rings from midwayusa.com. They are pricey but work great and is a must if you want to use the same scope for multiple rifles. The medium height rings wouldn’t work on my Savage 17 HMR so I went with high. The medium would have been fine if I had the 42 mm.
Thanks for the link Varminter, found the 50mm version like you have. I’m a sucker for good optics. Those Warne quick detach rings sure are nice, I have them on my Ruger Mk III. Did you find a bargan on those too? JD
poor_fish on ebay. Here is a link for the 2.5-16×42 for $529 shipped. He also sells the 50mm I have. There are others with good prices on ebay but this person has a lot of positve feedback.
So where did it come from? Optics Planet wants $800.00 .
It was expensive but I did get a sunshade with it. I also found a good deal and paid less than $580 for it, shipped. I keep telling myself it’s a scope for 2 or 3 rifles not just one and this helps me justify the purchase. 😆 If it were purely for my TSS, I would have stuck with my Mueller APV or I would have purchased a Bushnell 3200 or a Nikon Buckmasters. I still love my APV! Great scope for the money!
For what that bad boy costs it oughta’ be almost nightvision, and it oughta’ fetch beers for you and wash the dog once a month too. 😉

Well I glad I’ not the only one here crazy enough about our guns to put excellent glass on them! I hear the 6500’s are good glass!
Love a 50MM. It really makes a difference when your hunting in low light. And FANTASTIC when lamping. I just changed from a 3×9 Zeiss for a 4×14 by 50MM Zeiss with target turrets and Mil-Dot Ret. I love it!!! 😀
Nothing like actually watching as the pellet hits the critter in the head at 100 yards. 😈
That’s great it will go down to 10 yards. The big 6500 will not.

Wow, for that kind of money I would put a Nikko Sterling 10-50×60 on there! Talkin’ about low light 😀
