Cleaning the outside of the gun?
Never mind the bore, what works for the exterior of the gun?
GooGone? Fantastic? Windex? Pledge?
What’s a good cleaner that cuts through the crud and leaves a nice luster?

Might work, but I’d be concerned that it’d start to soften up the paint on your shroud.
I live in an extremely dusty environment. I need something that will leave no residue or anything at all behind. I was thinking of just using a towel moistened with rubbing alcohol?
OK, I thought about it for a bit, and had a brainstorm (sort of), and went for it…
ya know what worked really well?
“Pledge” furniture polish in the spray can.
It’s got silicone in it, as well as cleaning agents that remove oil, dirt, etc., and it doesn’t have anything in it that’ll dissolve the paint on a shroud.
You should see the LUSTER on the gun, and it’s lemony-fresh smelling too (lookin’ at you, YN. :lol:)
Anyway, it works really well. Give it a try.

Ballistol multi purpose sportman’s oil. …got mine at pyramid. …says it :”lubricates, penetrates, cleans, protects, preserves.” F***k …you could probably wash your car with it 😆
Good for “firearms, leather, knives, wood, tools,” etc.
I use silicon spray also, The one used by divers. It sais “100% silicon” and its a white liquid.
It leaves the gun all nice and shiny 🙂

The best thing I have used so far is IKlear apple polish sh-t works wonders on a glossy display and optics, comes with a micro chamois and does ok on the af guns, but there has gotta be something better.

Silcone spray is safe. Never know when you might want to lick your gun either. Get the food grade. 🙂

Use ORIGINAL Windex and compressed air. Gets
‘er squeeky clean.
