since Im gonna have to get new trigger internals anyway…..

Well, A while back I tuned my trigger and THEN I discovered that the trigger components are only case hardened., Sure enough, after a few hundred shots now the parts are starting to fail me.

Anyhow, since I’m gonna have to get a new sear and intermediate bar anyway, is there anyone offering an upgrade for these yet? Or should I just go ahead and order stock parts from AF ?

It is true that the trigger parts are only case hardened which means only the surface.
We have warned many times over the years not to polish or stone the parts but a whisper.

You can always re case harden the parts by buying from Brownells case hardening powder.

I think case hardened is just about .020 thick from the outside surface.

Ok Helder this is a perfect chance for me to learn something I did not know. What is it that happend? How/why did it happen? I’ll guess “Case hardened” means only the surface is hard?

Do some searching here. I believe Marc had some made from tool steel.
