YAY! I finally got it!!
My gun came in yesterday, and wouldn’t you know it…the power was out till about 11pm…fortunately we had to cater a wedding till 10. I got to play with the gun for about 20 minutes and I LIKE!! Put a makeshift shroud on it and I thought…hmmm guess it doesn’t work all I heard was a ping….took off the shroud and…hmmm it is loud.
The only thing I am disappointed with is the scuba tank adapter. I don’t know if UPS did it, or it was like that when it got shipped, but the gauge is bent to the point where the needle won’t move above 1000PSI. I guess I’ll have to try to pop the cover and bend the gauge face down… 😥 😡
Oh well, guess htat’s what I get for buying used…
Now I need a chrony. Anyone have one for sale/trade??? 😈

If it’s messed up like that, how do you have any faith in its accuracy? How much pressure is in your scuba tank?
The gauge is bent forward, the screws almost look like they are a mismatch pair, the metal gauge face is bent and it stops the needle. I can fix it, but I would have rather it didn’t come like that… 😕 Oh well, it works…That is hte biggest reason I like ot buy new, or in person. The first thing i bought off of E-bay I got screwed on and it soured me. This is the first thing I have purchased used and online since then (my first buy from E-bay was about 8 years ago). This is why I haven’t purchased anything used/online.
Is the guage bent or the needle or the paper behind the needle? Congrats on the new gun.

Thanks for the offer, but I think it will b ok. I opened the front cover and bent the metal faceplate back. The needle isn’t damaged and I’m sure the bourdon tube is ok. The guy I got it form has offered to purchase a new gauge for me, he wants me to be happy w/ the purchase. He said it got wet and that is what caused the face to curl up, but the face isn’t paper it’s metal. Not thinking that H2O caused it to bend…I’ll have him send me a new gauge in case this one is messed up as I have no way to test it.
