New Air Bullets!

I’ve just noticed that H-N of Germany (The maker of the Baracuda and what we call the Kodiak here,) is making a new bullet shaped pellet. It’s called the Rabbit Magnum II. It is over 15 gr. in 177! They don’t have the weight in .22 yet, but it looks like it is going to be available in 200 count tins. Hope we can get them here in the States. A .25 would be Great! 😀

Thats for the investigation Bart, I was thinking of giving them a go but i think I’ll pass based on that! 😕
looked into it a bit, they’re available from the factory since last december according to the website, so they’re fairly new
they seem to be a continuation of a pellet produced some years ago by the same company, h&n
the website states the .22 is still being developed but surprisingly, i found some for sale in a webstore from my friendly neighbours, the dutchies
the .177 comes in at 15.74 grains, quite heavy compared to a barracuda/kodiak
but the .22 is 24.7 grains, which is not that big of an increase compared to the barracuda/kodiak as with the .177
finally, the archive of our local airgunning forum, http://www.luchtbuks.net, the biggest in belgium/netherlands, shows mixed reports about the old pellet’s accuracy, some like it, some hate it, seems to be quite dependent on the type of barrel used, most agree that the baracuda/kodiak gives better groups
*edit* also, in that webstore, the .177 rabbits cost €11.25 a tin, exactly as much as the baracuda match/kodiak match, the only difference is that the rabbits come in a 200 count tin, the baracuda/kodiak match in a 500 count tin
the .22 rabbits and baracuda/kodiaks are both in a 200 count tin, rabbits cost €11.25 a tin, the baracuda/kodiak match €5.95 a tin
so you can expect them to cost at least twice as much as baracuda/kodiaks
all considering, i think i’ll stick to baracuda’s 😉
I would be willing to buy a couple of tins from one of you guys that orders them. I would like one tin in .177 and one in .22

Great news. I use the original back in the 90s. It was a very effective if you had the power to push the thing. Dont know how the new ones vary but they look very much the same. Think I will get some and give them a try.
