Mac 1 SS
I just ordered a new SS .22 from Mac 1. He does an accuracy/high shot count prep that sounds nice. Does any body have one from him?

Yeah that’s what I knew when I ordered from Tim. I wanted a gun that was checked out and set-up for a good shot curve and accuracy. It will probably find its way to Talon Tunes eventually for some power.
Lee I have a Mac 1 talon ss and one from pyramid air. The Mac 1 was consistent and accurate but with some tweaking of the pyramid gun it shoots pretty much the same. With Mac 1 you have less chance of getting a lemon and if something is wrong Tim will fix it. 😀 😀
I have both and it’s like comparing apples to oranges. I have a Mac 1 Talon and a Tony Condor both in ,22. The work is not the same at all. I love my Mac 1 Talon but all Tim does get set it up for maximum performance from a stock gun. Mine does fine and will drive nails but I don’t shoot it at his recommened settings. It was toooo slow for my liking so I adjusted it to what I wanted out of it. Now, the Tony Condor is a different bird. He goes to extremes and his work shows it. The wait is worth it no matter how long it is. You won’t be sorry. 😆
I talked to Tony too. Its too long of a wait for me. I may send it to him later when I get hungry for some more power.
I hear it’s sweet. But Tony at Talontunes does the same if not better? It’s all about price so do the math both are great to work with 😀

There’s no doubt Tim knows a lot about airguns, but AF guns aren’t really his bag, he’s not a power monger at all, and is extreamly limited in what he does to them compared to Tony, who is leaps and bounds ahead of Tim when it comes to custom work, tunes, mods, the whole bit on AF guns. This isn’t knocking Tim at all, many first time buyers that get tuned AF guns from him that don’t care about the mods and all the power are probably quite happy to go that route as opposed to getting one with stock factory specs, which may be iffy and not perform quite as well. But as already mentioned, if you want more serious stuff done to your AF rifle that you can’t, or don’t want to do yourself, your better off waiting in line for Tony
